Motioncore Studios has had the privilege of capturing corporate videos for several hospitals across Kerala. Unlike a typical studio setting, our "stage" is a live, bustling hospital—a place where healing and care take center stage. This type of production demands not just our creative expertise but also immense patience, sensitivity, and a deep respect for the environment.

Imagine navigating corridors filled with patients, doctors rushing to emergencies, and the quiet hum of medical equipment. This is the reality of shooting in a hospital. Our crew quickly learns that flexibility and adaptability are paramount. We must be mindful of noise levels, avoid obstructing pathways, and always prioritize the comfort and well-being of everyone present.  A key part of this is ensuring patient privacy. Unlike some hospital corporate videos, we strive to ensure that no real patients' faces are recorded in our content. This requires careful planning and execution during filming.

One of the most rewarding aspects of these projects is the enthusiasm and cooperation of the hospital staff. Before production begins, we conduct screen tests with the staff, who gamely step into the roles of patients, doctors, nurses, and other personnel. These sessions are not only fun but also crucial for ensuring the video's authenticity. Seeing the staff embrace their "acting" roles, often with a touch of humor, is truly inspiring.

However, the real challenge lies in balancing our creative needs with the delicate environment of a hospital. We have to be extra cautious with our equipment, ensuring it doesn't interfere with medical procedures or create any safety hazards. Each movement, each setup, is carefully planned and executed. We learn to anticipate the flow of the hospital, adjusting our schedule and locations accordingly. There are moments when we have to pause a shoot due to an emergency or a patient needing quiet. Patience, understanding, and a willingness to adapt become our guiding principles.

Beyond the technical challenges, we are often deeply moved by the stories we witness. We see firsthand the dedication of the medical staff, their unwavering commitment to patient care. We also see the resilience of the patients, their courage, and hope in the face of adversity. These experiences add a layer of depth and meaning to our work, reminding us that we are not just creating a video, but capturing a story of human compassion and strength.

Shooting in a live hospital is not for the faint of heart. It requires meticulous planning, a highly adaptable crew, and a deep understanding of the unique sensitivities involved, including patient privacy. But the rewards are immeasurable.
